I have been the Chair of Governors since May 2017 and a member of the Operations Committee for 7 years. Due to my background as a solicitor, I am involved in any legal/contractual issues to do with the School and in reviewing and amending staff contracts as well as leading the School and the governing body through the School's conversion to an Academy on 1 July 2012.
I was appointed head teacher at Our Lady School in September 2016.
In my role as School Governor I liaise with the chair and clerk to organise the Governing body agendas and meetings.
I am on every Governor committee and attend all meetings. These include school improvement, operations, involving school maintenance and staffing issues.

Foundation Governor from 2015
I have been a Foundation Governor since 2015 and am Co-Vice Chair of Governors, Chair of the Operations Committee, Chair of the Admissions Committee and one of two Safeguarding Governors. I attend all full Governor body, Operations and Admissions Committee meetings. I monitor GDPR compliance, website compliance and policies. I am the link governor for PSHE.
I have been a governor at the school since 2015 and am the Parish Priest at Our Lady Immaculate and St Andrews church. I have been involved in the recruitment of our new Head Teacher Mrs Nicholson and I work closely with the Senior Leadership Team providing support and a listening ear at all times. I am involved in leading masses, liturgys and enjoy attending assemblies as often as I can.
I joined the school as a member of staff in 2007 and have been the School Business Manager since September 2014 and the Staff Governor since September 2013. As the School Business Manager I deal with all school finance, including income and expenditure, reporting to the Operations Committee. I also deal with all admissions, including reception and in year applications, reporting to the Admissions Committee. I am a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
I have been a Foundation Governor since 2015 and am the SEN Governor. I meet with Mrs Tye regularly to get updates and audit the SEN practice in the school. As a member on the School Curriculum Committee, my role is to monitor the implementation of the new curriculum; and the effectiveness of teaching and learning.
I have been a Foundation Governor since 2016 and am on the Operations Committee and am one of the Safeguarding Governors. I over see that Safeguarding practice meets statutory recommendations and is a high priority in the school. My area of responsibility is Governor training.
I have been a Foundation Governor since 2016. I am on the School Curriculum Committee looking at the curriculum, legislation and the admissions Committee and. I am the RE Link Governor making sure RE is given the time and energy it needs and deserves.
I was elected as Parent Governor from September 2017. As well as attending meetings of the Full Governing Body, I sit on the School Curriculum Committee, and the Admissions Committee. I am linked to the subjects of English and Phonics and am also the designated Governor for Attendance matters.
